Hatch is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Engineer (NDT Engineer in Training) for the Mississauga office. The incumbent will be part of a team responsible for Non-Destructive Testing duties for Hatch clients. The candidate will be a dynamic individual.

Responsibilities:
- Applying Acoustic Emission (AE) and Acousto Ultrasonic-Echo (AU-E) inspection and monitoring systems for various structures
- NDT system set-ups and calibration in the field
- NDT Data collection in the field
- Analysis AE and AU-E data
- Manual and report writing
- Programming of customised software for data collection and data processing
- Assist in NDT field service marketing
- Involve in new equipment and technique developments
- Extensive local & international travel and fieldwork is required
Technical Background:
- Must know stress wave principles and applications, understanding of coarse grain/composite material and structure (concrete, refractory, masonry), monitoring systems
- Knowledge of electromagnetic wave propagation principles
- Extensive signal processing capability
- Familiarity of various NDT techniques and instrumentation is an asset
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a University Degree in either Physics or Engineering. The Candidate must have demonstrated abilities with the following:
- 0-2 years experience as an NDT Engineer.
- Capable of preparing proposals, on-site inspections, data analysis, signal processing, and report writing
- Must be able to work in a team environment
