Job Description

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will manage activities of an analyst team and review the analysis and findings as it relates to Irving Oil’s Retail, Fleet and IBP teams . This role will partner with business stakeholders to provide focus to Financial Planning & Analysis activities as well as promote people development and resource management.

Your roles & responsibilities 

  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, management reporting and decision support activities, analyses and findings performed by analyst team
  • Develop and articulate key findings from analysis and reporting activities to business leadership 
  • Define financial objectives for the business; assess risks and opportunities against those objectives 
  • Perform ongoing assessment of the internal and external business environments 
  • Manage relationships with business stakeholders 
  • Enhance the business with supporting performance management technologies which would include business process support
  • Provide support for the business during key business cycles utilizing performance management technologies 
  • Provide regular supervision and feedback to financial analysts

Travel 

  • Minimal travel is a requirement for this role 

Education and Experience: 

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting with professional designation  
  • 8 + years of relevant experience with strong industry knowledge 
  • 2 + years of management experience  
  • Experience with building strong work teams and training and developing employees
