As the Carbon Strategy Analyst, you will be responsible to coordinate our Carbon Strategy and support activities to ensure Enbridge’s compliance obligations are achieved in accordance with current and future climate change policy regulations.
Data Collection (directly through Internal Data Management system – Encompass, or through Excel Import Templates), Data Preparation (Check for missing data, run scenarios, review data/QA/QC), Run reports from EnCompass.
Review various information/regulatory sources for updated emission factors (EFs) and methodology changes and updating internal emissions calculation methodologies.
Complete User Acceptance Testing when version upgrades performed.
Assist with updating Encompass through the Addition of New Sites/Facilities, Setting up equipment, Inputting historical data, QA/QC against historical spreadsheets.
Integration of data from source systems and Support System Users.
Monthly update of emissions performance calculation spreadsheet (fuel consumption,, production data, and gas composition).
Monthly update of gas composition spreadsheet.
Monthly update of operating hours spreadsheet.
Reporting Tracking Leak Repairs under the Federal Methane Regulation, including the completion of Repair Deadline Extension Request, Collection and tracking of methane venting data from internal reports, Track outstanding issues with operations.
Who you are
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Sustainability.
Certification as an Environmental Professional preferred.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word – including the graphical representation of data.
Knowledge of data management systems.
Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills.
