What you will do:
Supervise a team of professional Mechanical Engineering Subject Matter Experts supporting Liquid Pipeline operations, projects, emergency response, incident investigations, and compliance and regulatory requests.
Responsible to drive a culture of risk based decision making, innovation and adoption of new ideas to support expected business outcomes
Develop the team to identify systemic failures of accountable equipment and coordinate with the Asset Management framework to develop risk based management strategies/plans to appropriately address failure mechanisms.
Lead and assign the creation, review and maintenance of all accountable mechanical engineering specification and standards.
Occasional requirement to take responsible charge for designated engineering activities, including review, authentication or permitting of engineering deliverables.
Co-ordinate strong stakeholder engagement and communication with departments through the Enbridge organization that support or are supported by the assigned threat management programs
Who you are:
Completion of an Engineering Degree with a sound understanding of the mechanical engineering field with minimum of 10 years progressive leadership and management experience with a diverse technical and project management experience background.
Currently registered as a professional Engineer (P.Eng) with APEGA.
Awareness and understanding of applicable pipeline and facility regulatory design codes (CSA Z662, ASME, API, etc)
Sound business judgment with strong negotiation skills and the ability to represent and understand Enbridge business needs.
Proven ability to initiate and handle change, be innovative, think strategically, and work well with teams.
Working Conditions:
This position is office based with occasional requirements to travel to field excavations, industry committees/conferences, and other office locations within Canada and Unites States.
