Job Description

Sr Analyst Business Intelligence is responsible for supporting various EGD initiatives in Energy conservation, Market Development, Business Development, Sales, P&GA and other internal departments, with data and analytics.

Performing this function involves developing and using IT scripts to extract information from internal and external data sets using available analytical tools and technologies, to create meaningful information that support their business decision making of internal and external clients.

What You Will Do:

  • Gather data and information requirements from internal clients, understand their priorities and ensure that their requirements are well understood while generating their deliverable

  • Extract, clean, combine and analyze data from different internal and external data source systems using complex queries, to answer business questions

  • Verify accuracy and reliability of data and recommend corrections or adjustments in the collection, assessment, and dissemination of intelligence

  • Identify outliers, anomalies, patterns, or other compliance indicators that may be hidden in the data

  • Build visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI

  • Assists in the maintenance of existing models and tools;

  • Develop detailed business and system knowledge within supported areas.

  • Own and manage the Business Intelligence support processes - common mailbox, trackers, work load planning documents etc.

  • Own and manage BI routine script runs, standard reports, IT interactions on standard processes

Who you are:

  • Under Graduate or advanced degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information

  • 2-4 years of experience in one of the following:

  • Business Intelligence, Data analytics, Business Analytics

  • Marketing, Market research, Customer care

  • Extensive SQL knowledge, adept at queries and joining data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

  • Good communication skills and an awareness of how to communicate data and results effectively

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency with Power BI, MS Visio

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills with a strong client/customer focus

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced team environment

Preferred:

  • Certifications in Business Intelligence, Data analytics, MCSE will be an added advantage

  • Knowledge of Enbridge applications, systems and databases will be an added advantage
