C++ Software Engineer

Want to work on the 2nd most-used feature at McAfee that’s used by 35 million end users? Do you want to build our next-gen firewall? Are you interested in solving changing technical issues? You’ll have the opportunity to be mentored by senior team members and work closely with the Architect. This high-profile team with a significant impact to the business is seeking a Software Engineer with great modern C++ expertise and an understanding of Windows Networking.

This is a remote position in Canada. We will only consider candidates currently in Canada and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the job:

• Design, develop, debug & test software using modern C++

• Participate and provide valuable input to architectural design discussions
• Good working knowledge of (OR desire to learn) creating KPI (Key Performance Indicators) dashboards
• Good working knowledge (OR desire to learn) data pipeline platforms
• Work with QA team members (automated and manual testers)

About you:

• 4 years experience with modern C++

• Some experience with Windows Networking (our team is happy to build on your foundation knowledge)

• Good understanding of Windows Internal
• Working Knowledge of Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines
• Scrum Master experience or training is a plus
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Strong coordination and follow-up skills
• Desire to learn from others as well as share your knowledge
• Bonus points for knowledge of anti-censorship technologies
• Enjoy taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions
