This role requires a high degree of business, negotiation, and merger and acquisition experience as it is responsible for Business Development (BD) initiatives for both regulated and unregulated low carbon initiatives for Enbridge’s distribution customers.

What You Will Do:
Identify and work on M&A and BD opportunities through the oversight and preparation of initial business case, long term strategic rationale, and capital appropriation memo to get executive approval.
Develop and lead the establishment financial objectives, strategies and activities of the Business Development team to meet corporate capital targets and maximize EBITDA for the company.
Furthering the BD team skills through coaching, mentorship, relationship building, open communication and collaboration on various topics such as negotiating agreements, transaction origination and business case preparation.
Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, safety and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
Develop, maintain and foster relationships with diverse counterparties and customers through the development, execution and operational phases of a program.
Who You Are:
You have the following education and experience:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business related field.
Minimum eight or more years of related experience.
Strong interpersonal, coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to promote teamwork and co-operation within a group.
Critical thinking and specifically the ability to suspend judgment while gathering information but then be able to use the gathered information to inform robust and coherent decisions.
Outstanding communications skills. Is able to listen and understand as well as clearly and efficiently communicate complex concepts.
Demonstrated knowledge of BD transactions including JVs, limited partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.

Following are the preferred skills:
MBA or CFA preferred.

Some travelling is required for this role (10%). Valid G license is needed.
