Reporting to the GDS Manager TIS Utility- Business Solutions, the Asset Acquire to Retire Solution Architect is accountable to design end-to-end business solutions working in partnership with the Gas Distribution Business relationship manager, Business stakeholders, and the enterprise architecture team. The role will be critical in helping to define the long-term business roadmaps for the Enbridge Gas Inc. including the solution design, sizing, and implementation.
What you will do:
Develop and execute innovative, practical end-to-end business solutions across all Engineering, Storage and Operations and gas distribution processes and system landscape. Works with the following system components; Maximo, Click FSE, SAP Plant maintenance as well as custom applications developed with .net / Java and all integrations across the landscape.
Partner with peer solution architects in the areas of meter to cash, procure to pay, record to report and Geographical information solutions as well as technical, cloud and data architects across the Information technology enterprise teams
Build the future business capability roadmaps enabling the amalgamation of the Legacy Utilities into 1 business application landscape in parallel delivering business functional benefits and driving OPEX reductions in TIS
Ensure proposed solutions are aligned to all enterprise architecture guidelines including data privacy, security standards, Integration standards, and infrastructure guidelines/standards
Plan, design, configure, architect, and deliver end-to-end integrated business solution • Create and deliver project-level documentation including Fit Gap Analysis, functional specifictions, estimates, business capabilities, configuration, and technical solution architecture, RFPs, and executive solution architecture presentation
Ensure all roadmap deliverables are sized in collaboration with delivery teams and shared services organizations to ensure alignment to financial management cycles as well as communicating shared service demand
Works with vendors to assess vendor products, and understand vendor’s delivery approaches working in partnership with enterprise architecture and VMO.
Builds strong relationships across the business, IT and vendors / industry analysts to maintain insight into the broader enterprise as well as industry trends.
Recognizes industry technology trends and emerging technologies, understands how they apply to the Enbridge gas distribution Business unit and supports driving them into our strategy and technology roadmaps
Evangelizes and encourages importance of technical quality, emerging technologies, sharing & experimentation across the org through direct leadership and mentoring.
Guides others in resolving complex issues in solution architecture and solves complex, escalated aspects of a project
Who you are:
At least 10 years of progressively responsible and related experience, e.g., Business Solution development and business transformation.
Solution architecture experience working in the Utilities industry with IBM Maximo applications to plan, design, configure, architect, and deliver end-to-end integrated business solution
Hands-on experience of Maximo Suite functionality, configuration and integration options • Multiple Maximo implementations experience and integration with other applications, ERPs and GIS platforms
Has an expert understanding of solution architecture particular the the Gas distribution or similar Utility based business application landscape
Can support the development of solution leaders within his/her team as well as across the TIS team
Can adopt and relate new technologies and capabilities to legacy landscape
Can communicate and influence solutions, ideas, suggestions to a variety of (business) stakeholders effectively and comprehensibly
Advanced University degree/diploma in a related field, e.g., Computer Engineering, MBA or equivalent
