Note: Internally this role is known as Supervisor TIMP.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage and maintain a Transmission integrity management program to provide safe, environmentally responsible and reliable service that is in compliance with the requirements of applicable standards and regulations (CSA Z662 and O.Reg 210/01 and as prescribed by the provincial and federal regulatory authorities. (National Energy Board, Technical Standards and Safety Authority, and the Régie du bâtiment du Québec) in Canada.

  • Assessment work involves inspection, investigating, assessment, and mitigating threats for transmission pipeline assets.

  • Complete engineering analysis on our transmission assets. This requires an understanding of operating practices, cost analysis, process safety, stress analysis, fluid mechanics, metallurgy, welding, and corrosion.

  • Requires detailed knowledge of codes and standards, regulations, materials, company policies and procedures and practices.

  • Formation and management of cross-functional/cross-Regional teams as required, often taking the key role as team Leader.

  • Lead a geographically dispersed team of technical professionals

Who You Are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or Canadian jurisdiction.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pipeline engineering, pipeline integrity, gas transmission and distribution operations, gas storage operations.

  • Experience and understanding of pipeline design, construction practices, field operations, service procedures.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to motivate employees through flexibility, building relationships, and proven leadership.

  • This position is expected to overcome challenges faced when dealing with a number of projects, responding to technical and operational inquiries, facilitating teams, or solving technical or operational problems.

Working Conditions:

  • Work covers all Enbridge Gas Inc TIMP assets and will include travel and fieldwork.

  • Responsible driving record is required for this role.
