The Market Development Manager will be responsible for the management, formulation and implementation of sales programs that ensure growth in the following four spheres of activity: connection of new customers to the network, achievement of energy efficiency and network greening program results, customer subscription to new initiatives, and expansion of customer service programs—all in line with the company’s growth targets and energy transition. The incumbent will also participate in corporate management in conjunction with the other directors and managers, while developing the regional equipment leasing market and extending this market to other regions.

Your responsibilities will primarily be:
As Sales Leader, directing a team in charge of meeting the growth targets set by Gazifère management:
Maximizing the number of customer connections to the network.
Promoting the use of renewable energies, such as renewable natural gas, hydrogen and high-efficiency electrical and gas equipment.
Meeting participant goals, along with the company’s energy efficiency and other commercial objectives.
Maximizing the number of new customers in our customer service programs.
Developing new equipment leasing markets in conjunction with other critical corporate functions (such as operations, finance, etc.), and external partners (contractors, service and equipment providers, etc.).
Promoting development of new commercial (product/service) strategies aimed at growing the company, while helping it meet the Gazifère’s energy transition targets.
Working with Regulatory Affairs to establish, monitor and defend the company’s sales strategies in regulatory matters.
Developing, in conjunction with Communications and Marketing, commercial business proposals for the customer base.
Ensuring the evolution of customer service programs to meet growing customer needs.
Overseeing sound financial management of Sales Department affairs (budgets, project profitability, and approvals of requests for authorization).
Working with the other departments of Gazifère/Enbridge.
Forging business relationships with stakeholders in targeted business sectors.
Working collaboratively in corporate management as a Management Committee stakeholder.
Who you are:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or other equivalent program (or are currently in the process of obtaining it).
Have an MBA or similar (an asset).
Have 10 or more years’ experience in sales and/or management positions.
Are well-acquainted with the energy market and equipment associated with energy consumption.
Have solid customer-friendly sales skills.
Can speak in public before relatively large groups.
Can develop long-term relationships with business people, different kinds of professionals and decisionmakers.
Possess excellent intellectual flexibility and mental inquisitiveness, along with self‑direction.
Have an excellent ability to positively motivate your team and colleagues, with the goal of developing resources, improving teamwork and enhancing the company’s capabilities.
The person in this role must be fluent in French (speaking, reading, writing). As the person in this role is required to frequently interact with colleagues, stakeholders and clients that do not speak French, a proficient knowledge of English(speaking, reading, writing) is also required.
This position requires some travel (conferences, hearings, etc.).
The position is based in Gatineau, Québec.
