Job Description

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of engineers, engineers in training, and technicians to deliver the electrical and controls designs for all station facilities in Enbridge’s gas distribution and storage operations throughout Ontario.

  • Delivering electrical, control and telemetry designs that are safe, reliable and cost effective in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

  • Ensure timely response for emergencies, safety incidents and investigations, and operations support.

  • Provide general project management and organizational support for construction projects by ensuring project designs are delivered on time, managing resource requirements, and engaging external consultants.

  • Lead the roll out of Electrical and Controls company standards and build and maintain strong team relationships with various key internal stakeholders.

  • Manage the evaluation of new products, tools, and technologies related to electrical & controls.

Who You Are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • A university degree in Engineering/Applied Science and with minimum 7 or more years work experience.

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or Canadian jurisdiction.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in promoting teamwork, fostering positive relationship, gap analysis and solutions delivery.

  • Strong facilitation, project management and presentation skills.

  • Desire to lead and influence positive change.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced computer technology skills.

  • Passion for upholding Enbridge's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, and Inclusion along with our ways of working.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of the natural gas industry, including knowledge and application of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, CSA Z662, and other codes and standards related to electrical and controls systems.

  • Previous experience with telemetry, SCADA, instrumentation, cybersecurity, control centers, arc flash assessments, automation, and programming.

  • PMP and/or MBA Designation.

  • Relevant experience in safety & reliability, facilities integrity, or field operations.

  • Knowledge of FMEA, QRA, and/or HAZOP methodologies for assessing process safety.

Working Conditions:

  • Some travelling within Ontario is required for this role (10-15%). Valid G License and responsible driving record is needed.
