This role provides people and process leadership to the Residential Tracking and Reporting Team. This team is accountable for accurate and timely reporting of Residential Energy Conservation results, processing of all residential energy-efficient incentives to homeowners, compliance with core business processes, and ensuring reporting requirements are met for the Residential Energy Conservation programs.

What you will do

  • Leading, managing, motivating, and developing team members which includes encouraging direct reports’ collaboration with peers, and maintaining awareness and impact of their work outputs and behavior. Performance management, including carrying out performance reviews, coaching and establishing annual development plans.

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Residential Tracking & Reporting Team for the Residential Energy Conservation program and successful delivery of all related functions

  • Review reporting & financial reconciliations that are required as part of the contractual agreement and oversee any communications on the reporting of program results.

  • Lead the development and implementation of technical solutions or process improvements ensuring efficient coordination of technical and administrative resources in conjunction with all collaborators.

  • Review and approve project batch payments for homeowner rebates and encouraging collaboration during high-volume processing periods.

  • Ensure that the team develops proper documentation and ensure that it is properly archived for all projects to satisfy collaboration agreement and internal data retention policies.

  • Drive continuous enhancements / improvements, seeking input / review from internal partners and approvals from decision-makers such as other People Leaders.

  • Manage and maintain the overall relationship / governance with partners and support contractual obligations within the main legal agreement.

  • Maintain an overall comprehensive knowledgebase of process flows and documentation for Residential Energy Conservation offers and facilitate updates / revisions to documentation as required.

  • Work closely with other program areas to identify process improvements and ensure that suggested guidelines are being recorded for documentation purposes.

  • Oversee the development of Risk Mitigation Plans, as required (i.e., identifying, monitoring, and minimizing project risk based on assumptions / trajectory of the project).

  • Support all external audit requests by coordinating the preparation and review of required documentation.

Who you are

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Project Management or equivalent combined with 5+ years of related Energy Conservation or comparable industry experience.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple processes with the use of critical-thinking skills to problem-solve in a fast paced, high volume professional environment.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the capability of driving team success through positive coaching and mentorship.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in public speaking, negotiating, collaborating with external partners and reviewing and preparing complex written communications and accompanying reports.

  • High level of computer literacy and extremely proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel.

  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, business case preparation, cost benefit analysis and Demand Side Management screening tests.

  • Proven ability to organize workflow, analyze business processes and able to provide clear direction to team members on how to implement process changes and improvements.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading people in a formalized business setting, either directly or indirectly.

  • Practical background and knowledge of utility energy efficiency programs.

  • Experience managing and maintaining external collaborative business relationships.
