This role is accountable for overseeing the Residential Energy Conservation program by preparing financial reconciliations for funds spent, preparing reporting on a regular basis, being a great partner with the Parachute Team and reviewing reporting prepared by other members on the team. The Advisor will also be accountable for the approval of homeowner rebates through Guardian.

What you will do

  • Prepare reporting as required in the contractual relationship by compiling program related data provided by team members and loading it into reporting templates on a consistent basis and providing justifications for variance analysis in instances where actuals differ from budget.

  • Prepare financial reconciliations which includes monthly reconciliations and providing updates to partners on how close funding forecast(s) are compared to actuals.

  • Craft and maintain reporting templates for the purpose of communicating results in an effective, efficient and accurate manner program partners.

  • Initiate continuous enhancements / improvements, seeking input / review from internal partners and approvals from decision-makers such as other People Leaders.

  • Identify and prioritize any program changes that directly impact the Tracking & Reporting process flow or reporting requirements and execute accordingly including coordinating information gathering and scoping requirements and reviewing incoming change requests from team members assigning necessary workload requirements as necessary to support requested changes and provide guidance as required.

  • Review and approve project batch payments for homeowner rebates.

  • Provide team updates as it relates to reporting the status of projects and tracking progress to ensure expectations are met and communication is strong throughout the process.

  • Develop Risk Mitigation Plans as required.

Who you are

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Project Management, or equivalent combined with 4+ years of related Energy Conservation or comparable industry experience.

  • Strong leadership capabilities with ability to provide good judgement and apply critical-thinking skills to problem solve in a fast paced, high volume professional environment.

  • Proven experience reviewing, verifying and approving payment batches and crafting, compiling reports and preparing financial reconciliations within tight deadlines.

  • High level of computer literacy and extremely proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience in public speaking and training facilitation.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, professional, cross-functional working environment.

  • Experience in prioritizing and analyzing key issues, business case review, cost-benefit analysis, and preparing DSM screening tests.

Preferred:

  • Experience maintaining / managing external collaborative business relationships.

  • Practical background and knowledge of utility / government energy efficiency programs.
