Seeking TV Production Assistant – CBC Newsroom

The associate producer assists the producer/switcher director in developing, planning, preparing, and live playout of our Television programs via the automated control room.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

Qualifications:

• Professional College Degree or equivalent
• Three (3) years’ relevant experience including live playout in a news production environment

Skills:

• Good knowledge of presentation/playout software applications (iNews)
• Firm command of production methods
• Good knowledge of Avid and VIzrt applications
• Fluent in the working language (French)
• Knowledge of automated control room operations an asset
• English an asset
• Good general knowledge, especially of current events
• Good knowledge of all aspects of television production

Candidates Will Be Tested As Follows:

• Theory testing: French test
• Interview
