Here’s your chance to be an integral part of the City of Burnaby Food Service Team! This position will be responsible for providing prompt, courteous and accurate food and beverage service that exceeds expectations. This is a fast paced position, and you will be able to work without supervision in a variety of roles and be upbeat, enthusiastic and personable in all situations. These duties will include creating shift schedules, assigning seating sections, problem solving, tracking food and beverage preferences and aiding the Restaurant Leader and Manager in the successful operation of the restaurant and lounge. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of serving experience in a fast-paced lounge or restaurant and current Food Safe and Serving It Right Certification. Knowledge of beers, wines and spirits is required. Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office is needed. You must have the ability to work in a variety of roles and have a flexible schedule, multi-task and ensure guest expectations are exceeded in an efficient manner.
The hourly wage is $15.80 per hour + tips, plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
