We are growing and are looking to add a Materials Handling Technician to our Ferndale Warehouse Team. At Keirton, one of our core values is to hit our customers with WOW, and as a Materials Handling Technician, your customer is the Production Team. By picking and stocking items into totes, bins and shelves, you are giving your customer a clean, organized group of parts so they can build the best trimming machines on the market. You’ll also be responsible for keeping inventory tidy, organized, and most importantly, accurate, by completing weekly cycle counts.

What You’ll Do

  • Pick and kit raw materials for production work orders 1 week in advance of schedule.
  • Triage incoming production work orders to ensure the 24-hour ship-on-time promise is kept.
  • Organize raw materials into totes for easy production access (i.e.: kitting).
  • Complete put-aways within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Practice FIFO on put-aways to ensure materials are kitted in order of receipt.
  • Put-aways are stocked efficiently and well organized (i.e.: items are visible in a bin, consolidated, grouped by the line were possible, etc.).
  • Create and complete weekly cycle counts.
  • Investigate variances to inventory or bin locations as they are discovered or during weekly cycle count.
  • Create item journals within the allowance threshold to ensure high inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in daily improvement projects.
  • Where needed, assist with order picking/packing to ensure our brand promise of 24-hour ship-on-time is kept.

Who You Are And What You Need To Succeed

  • 1-2 Years experience in warehouse stocking, picking, and/or inventory control.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve inventory variances.
  • Proficient with Excel.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong written communication skills (i.e.: email).
  • Desire to keep things organized.
