Job Description

Do you love working with journal entries and account reconciliations? Do you enjoy researching and implementing general ledger process improvements and interacting with different teams responding to a variety of queries? If yes, this could be an excellent opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst in Corporate Accounting who will be responsible for the preparation of monthly corporate accounting activities. This position is focused on supporting the accounting for the Canadian Corporate function’s monthly corporate accounting activities.

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare monthly recurring and non-recurring journal entries to record transactions in a timely manner for the monthly general ledger (G/L) close processes;
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations;
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis of corporate results;
  • Work closely with the Team Lead, Manager and other extended team members in identifying opportunities for process improvement to increase timeliness and efficiency;
  • Provide hands-on assistance to the internal and external auditors, including the collection and analysis of financial information and supporting documents requested by the auditors;
  • Administrative tasks as required.

Who You Are:

  • Undergraduate Degree – Commerce, Business or equivalent;
  • Individual with or working towards a professional accounting designation;
  • 4 years or more accounting or finance-related experience;
  • Previous experience with Oracle Cloud/ Hyperion Financial Management / SmartView / Essbase or large ERP program would be an asset;
  • Excellent digital literacy including a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel);
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP & Internal Control Principles;
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
