Job Description

Function: Reporting to the Manager, Engineering and Propulsion, this position will provide support in the following areas:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with assessing and organizing structural repairs

  • Track and work with Planning in organizing structural repairs with repeat thresholds

  • Work closely with Bombardier In-Service Engineering and the Technical Help Desk in requesting Repair Drawings 

  • Provide recommendations to Bombardier ISE and THD should Repair Drawings require an amendment

  • Develop and maintain a damage tracking system that may be used as a quick reference guide

  • Hands-on assistance with structural repairs

  • Liaise with third party structural repair companies should extra man-power be required

  • Review all Bombardier Service Bulletins and other technical documents related to structures and implement as required

  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

  • Other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have 5 years  of structural repair experience in the aviation industry

  • Must hold Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license, Cat S.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of the SRM

  • High degree of accuracy

  • Strong analytical personality

  • Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to travel on short notice
