The Pension Solutions Group (PSG) within the Information Technology and Facilities Solutions (ITFS) division at HOOPP is responsible for providing innovative IT solutions that enable our business partners to deliver strategic projects that allow HOOPP to deliver on its pension promise to over 425,000 members. As a PSG Business Analyst you will be responsible for documenting current and future state analysis, working with business partners and vendors to elicit and document requirements, and analyzing issues, risks and solutions on various projects. To do this, you will work closely with Project Managers and/or Product Owners.
What you will do:
Lead discovery and documentation of current state and future state analysis for telecommunication upgrade
Work with internal IT teams, business stakeholders and vendors-where necessary to elicit, document and conduct requirement walkthroughs for contact center setup configuration
Communicate regularly with project stakeholders via status meetings, daily standups or online tools
Timely identification of risks and issues that can impact requirements or project delivery schedules
Create test strategies and test scenarios ensuring traceability of requirements to scenarios
Create test cases to be used in user acceptance and integration testing of new functionality and improvements to HOOPP’s Pension Administration Platform
Coordinate, assist and perform user acceptance and integration testing of all projects and ensure all test cases have been documented and executed according to HOOPP standards
Keep existing operational documentation up to date and/or create new documentation to ensure daily execution of tasks align with the latest solution or procedures
Work closely with the development team in all stages of solution development life cycle and bridge the gap between business and technological sides of the solution
Assist staff in implementing/modifying daily operational procedures needed to run and maintain various operational functions
Maintain and develop various operational and solution specific documentation
Demonstrate excellent communication, documentation and time management skills
What you bring:
University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management or any other related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in related role within Pension or financial services industry
Proven BA track record working on projects of varying size, cost and complexity
Previous experience on telephony upgrade projects
Credentials of Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) and/or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is an asset
Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into simple to understand concepts and requirements
Advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for quality and detail
Superior collaboration, communication, relationship, and people skills
Ability to comprehend and work within various project management methodologies most notably Agile, and Waterfall
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to work independently and with others
