Note: Internally this role is known as DIMP Engineer.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the development and understanding of applicable distribution system assets and associated hazards.

  • Improve the understanding of asset condition through the development and execution of integrity workplans.

  • Develop and continuously improve reliability curves for gas distribution assets to determine asset life characteristics.

  • Develop and maintain integrity plans to ensure fitness for service for applicable distribution system assets.

  • Perform Integrity Assessments on gas distribution assets to assess potential hazards and improve understanding of asset condition.

  • Develop comprehensive engineering reports to inform key stakeholders on asset condition.

  • Provide support and justification for the Asset Management Plan.

  • Develop and lead integrity surveys and asset sampling projects.

  • Lead the syntheses of data to develop and improve the understanding of distribution system assets and condition.

  • Assess hazards and develop appropriate risk remediation plans.

  • Lead workshops with Subject Matter Advisors to enhance the understanding of distribution system assets

Who You Are:

You have the following education and experience:

  • Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or in Canadian jurisdiction.

  • Minimum of 4 years related and relevant experience.

  • Experience in managing relationships, multiple priorities and enjoy teamwork.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Following are the preferred skills:

  • Understanding of Gas Distribution systems.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite.

  • Understanding of applicable codes, standards, regulations, company policy and procedures.

  • Experience with company systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Some travelling is required for this role (10%).

  • Valid G License and responsible driving records is needed.
