Reports to Senior Manager, Software Development

Purpose of the Role The primary function of the role is to establish and adhere to standardized methods for enhancement requests to the IT department, requirements analysis of the business needs, and contribute to the work prioritization process. This role will be the main point of contact for business units for Oracle Commerce Cloud platform. A Platform Specialist will facilitate the Agile processes, escalates impediments, manage risk, and help to drive continuous improvements at the project level. He/She will guide Agile teams through key ceremonies such as daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives and demonstrations. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring that sprints are on time and that the teams are ready for their deadlines. He/She will be responsible for the timely release of the project to production and facilitate post-production support.

Core Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business units and team members to understand and identify tactical / strategic technology solutions to fit business needs.
  • Works with internal stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies. 
  • Collect and review requests to ensure feasibility and establish the best approach to leverage solutions.
  • Contribute to the tracking and monitoring of work requests.
  • Guides the BA with requirement and process flow, workflow clarifications.
  • Facilitate work planning meetings by scheduling and coordinating them as well as encouraging guidance of topics throughout the meeting.
  • Manage risks and dependencies as well as identify and escalate impediments to Management.
  • Effectively communicate enhancement/bug status to Management Best practices.
  • Knowledge of Application components to ensure software components are kept up to date. Establish plans each fiscal year to perform required updates.
  • Understanding the complexities of the application to ensure proper diligence is conducted on design, development and quality assurance.
  • Work with Technical leads to ensure coding standards , security and privacy guidelines are followed.
  • Develops deep subject matter expertise in Oracle Commerce Cloud platform. Able to drive the platform first approach to address any business opportunities. Understands and anticipates direction of the business area(s)/unit(s), identifies opportunities and engages IT technical resources to formulate recommendations to support the assigned business area(s) desired future state. 
  • Reviews and understands metrics and other key performance indicators (KPI) in order to drive continuous improvement for the sprint teams.
  • Coordinates elements of the release plan with other technology staff outside of the project and encourage architect and team collaboration.
  • Establishes performance of the sprint teams through continuous improvement, building leadership skills and inspiring leadership in others.

Minimum Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience as IT Scrum Master or IT Project Manager or Business Analyst , or IT Product Manager or related experience.
  • Experience developing relationships with and ensuring the appropriate participation of key client stakeholders and client executives.
  • Strong combination of technology skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively work with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent work packages in parallel
  • Extensive experience with business Platform Management
  • Strong technology skills and business acumen
  • Proven and demonstrable experience managing business relationships
  • Ability to understand complex IT environments, projects and solutions
