Job Description

You will be responsible for the development, delivery, and management of Money Movement capabilities to enable Customers to pay for goods & services from their account. You will enable payment capabilities that will be utilized across various channels, payment platforms and value chains to solve market needs. Your keys to success will be using your knowledge of creating products, knowing the market the products are intending to serve and using your experience & people skills to deliver in a dynamic environment consisting of diverse groups internally and externally.

  • Developing product requirements and business cases, including financial projections, to support proposed product enhancements and upgrades

  • Delivering in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders who are your dependency

  • Working closely with internal experts and business units to develop and review new product enhancements, issues, and upgrades

  • Analyzing the potential and risk of various opportunities by evaluating costs, adoption curves, and/or P&L management

  • Having a pulse on the market, clients and the financial services ecosystem and be able to correlate & analyze the impact to the business

Key Accountabilities

Product Development

  • Works with internal and external stakeholders and end users to understand business problems and gather/validate requirements.

  • Leads discussions with engineers, product analysts, suppliers and clients to develop product requirements and specifications.

  • Translates business problems/goals into user stories and assist in creating all necessary details which accompany user stories.

  • Collaborate with technical communications for documentation. Prepares and coordinates product introductions and updates.

  • Owns technical product roadmap; interacts with Product Management, BSAs and the business to develop product specifications.

Product Management

  • Assist in the Product Management activities by supporting Product Managers with their product delivery dependencies.

  • Assist in the execution of the Interac money movement platform strategy through enablement of new products and capabilities to serve the market.

  • Work with Product Managers focused on Commerce, Money Movement and adjacent business verticals for annual plans, including product enhancement, product marketing, product growth, segment strategies, and annual budgeting.

  • Forecast and deliver product volume growth, drawing on market trend analysis, consumer behavior and economic factors. Provide recommendations for product or service improvements based on market research.

  • Prepare product updates to communicate on the business performance while actively looking for opportunities.

  • Relationship management with partners on Money Movement & Commerce products and manage expectations on strategies and roadmaps for product enhancements.

Project Leadership

  • Work with Interac Project Management Office to deliver agreed features, capabilities, policy and regulations in full, on time, on budget, and with agreed benefits in accordance with corporate methodologies.

  • Embrace and role model the Interac Product Development Flow and Lifecycle Management Processes, stage gates, and a disciplined approach to product development.

Business Interactions

  • Product Management Leads.

  • Client Management, Finance, Project Management Office, Operations, Security, Technology and Fraud, Legal, Compliance and Regulations.

  • Clients, partners, third party stakeholders.

  • Presentations to Executive Committee; financial institutions, merchants, acquirers, senior stakeholders as required.

Skills/Competencies Required

  • Ability to interact with and influence senior management with strong product vision.

  • Passionate about technology, web savvy, early adopter

  • Experience working with IT and Operations to drive release and roll-out enhanced

  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a healthy respect for meaningful business process.

  • Ability to navigate conflicting priorities in a fast-changing environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator to small & large groups.

  • Strong working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

  • Solid understanding of the service industry, preferably within the financial services industry, electronic channels, and payments.

  • Strong background in building business requirements.

  • Demonstrates integrity, while having a business focused and detail-oriented mindset, while setting an example of positive leadership for the team.

  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative commercial Analytics.


  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role or in a role with transferrable skills

  • Demonstrated success of leading product strategy & execution from concept to launch

  • Passionate about technology, web savvy, an early adopter

  • Hands on tactical focus to provide close attention to product service, problem resolution and customer experience

  • Proven Product Management experience in finance, electronic solutions, and payments industries

  • You partner with IT and Operations to drive releases and roll-out enhanced features/products quickly

  • Strong alliance/partnership and relationship management skills

  • Strong planning, analytical and evaluative skills in order to manage priorities within a performance management and measurement environment

  • Advanced communication skills, both written and oral, to ensure plans and product development presentations are clearly communicated, understood and effectively applied

  • Comfortable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment, ability to represent the organization at a senior level

  • You can work across a team and deliver as per the expected timelines
