Job Description

We are seeking a designated Accountant to join our Enterprise Internal Reporting Group! The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and reporting of monthly adjusted results and internal management reporting packages and will interact with many other groups within the organization. What You Will Do:

  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of the Monthly Financial Summary and other key reporting materials provided to management;

  • Responsible for recording normalization journal entries during month-end close, and assisting in preparation of normalization requests and policy application. A strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC requirements surrounding accounting issues and normalization entries is an asset;

  • Coordinate variance analysis with support from various Finance groups;

  • Prepare various supporting analysis reports monthly, demonstrating ability to understand and interpret key variance drivers and performance metrics;

  • Assist in the preparation of Investor Relations packages quarterly;

  • Provide ad hoc query support on various issues affecting Enbridge Inc.; which often involves utilizing strong excel skills and various accounting systems

  • Complete reporting deliverables for Canadian and U.S. government agencies;

  • Identify areas of improvement in the monthly processes and related systems to increase timeliness and efficiency;

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with various Finance groups

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor degree from four-year College or University – Commerce Business or equivalent

  • CPA designation, with 4+ years of accounting related experience

  • Demonstrates a strong dedication to accuracy and quality while meeting tight deadlines

  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under accelerated deadlines

  • Self-directed, proven team player, demonstrating a high level of cooperation and mutual respect

  • Demonstrate strong ethics, personal, and professional integrity

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)

  • Excellent digital literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel)

  • Experience with Oracle, HFM, and Wdesk is preferred
