What you will do:
- Be part of the IT Risk Leadership and help guide the product direction and delivery
- Guide and support the Product Owner and Solution Architect in developing and realizing the Product vision (develop roadmaps, manage scope, define minimal viable products, prioritize backlog, create stories to incorporate user and technical feedback etc.)
- Hands on analysis and delivery of complex Risk solutions across a comprehensive set of asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives, FX, OTC products etc.)
- Lead product delivery within and across department
- Research and bring new and innovative Risk and Technology ideas to the table
- Develop and foster relationships with the IT Team, HOOPP business partners (Traders, Portfolio managers, Security Operations, Data Management) and other IT teams to capture requirements, prototype solutions, provide demos, test and support the final deliverable
- Innovation Champion - Challenge delivery methods & solution designs
- Connects across other IT Teams to find synergies and partnership opportunities
Who you are:
- 8+ years of experience within Capital Markets (Banks, Asset Management Firms) in risk measurement, reporting, statistical analysis and quantitative work
- Breadth and dept of Investment Product knowledge
- Technical aptitude, including Python, SQL, data modelling/relational data
- Good understanding of front-, middle- and back-office processes
- Good understanding of system development life cycle, technique and tools
- Knowledge of portfolio theory, Investment strategies and pricing theories
- Knowledge of valuation models (derivative pricing), risk models, empirical finance theory (capital asset pricing model, arbitrage pricing theory, risk premia, etc.)
- Has played multiple HANDS ON roles throughout career (Solution Visioning, Analysis, Solution Design, sizing, building/implementing, QA, Prod Promotions, Production Support)
- Actively working with Developers on specifications and technical build
- Planning, prioritization & negotiation with senior Stakeholders across different business groups
- Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or Computer Science; CFA or FRM designation a plus
- Ability to quickly learn and support legacy solutions
- Has a positive attitude: doesn’t focus only on problems, but how they can be solved
- Professionalism, integrity as well as the ability to prioritize assignments and work within a diverse and dynamic team are essential
