Job Description

What you will do

  • Contribute to the development of Power Markets fundamentals, contributing to budget, short term and long-range volumetric forecasts for Enbridge’s LP businesses in the context of the North American market and global influences.

  • Monitor global and North American power policies and electricity markets providing updates to key company personnel.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of power and supply forecasting tools.

  • Develop and maintain Fundamentals goals and objectives plan consistent and in support of Business Development and Enbridge goals.

  • Work collaboratively with Energy Management, Asset Performance, Business Development and support groups providing critical & timely power cost, in line with volumetric forecasts, tailoring to existing and new business opportunities, driving optimal solutions.

  • Work will include providing support to the LP Strategic Planning Cycle as well as support Investor Relations with external communications on the LP plans.

  • Provide support and input into LP long term emission forecast, Support development & implementation LP self-power strategy, the development of the BD department plan. May be involved in the coordination of the overall LP Department Planning cycle as implemented through IMS.

  • Provide support in Regulatory applications.

  • Fulfill cross-functional assignments as part of the Business Development’s Resource Pool.

Who you are

You have the following qualifications and skills:

  • University Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or related field. MBA or PhD would be considered an asset.

  • 10+ years of proven and relevant experience in electricity, electricity consulting / finance, power utility pricing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill with the ability to create a clear narrative.

  • Strong understanding of carbon and renewables policies across North America.

  • Modeling experience in electricity resource planning.

  • Knowledge of specific research tools (e.g. Rystad, IHS, etc.) is desirable.

  • Ability to conceptually frame, develop insights and solve problems.

  • Excel in all key Enbridge Value areas, including Environment, Health & Safety, retention and development of team and ethical business conduct.
