We are looking for a Manager Enterprise Functional Data Management to join our team! In this position you will assist Cross Functional Data implementations in future Unify releases, as well as having input into Data Governance for the Enterprise, including ongoing quarterly Oracle Cloud releases. This position will work closely with the next phase Unify Project deployments and will assist the Functional Data teams for the AAT and GDS releases. Under the guidance of the Director Enterprise Functional Data Management you will also lead an Enterprise Data Management team and coordinate & provide strategic alignment with the area-specific Unify Sustainment teams (Finance, SCM, eAWM & BUs) on Data governance and strategic data planning from a business perspective.
What you will do
Actively support engagement with cross function strategic leaders and functional leads to resolve complex multi functional design, business process, and sustainment issues related to data.
Support to plan, articulate and communicate the overall data approach in coordination with System Integrators, functional data lead, function leaders and teams, and broader organization.
Facilitates resolution of complex data issues with input from functional data team members and key partners.
Manages overall data readiness scope and deliverables, identify overall data readiness issues and challenges, plan mitigation and resolution.
Assist and supports the Data Leads of the AAT, GDS and any current and future conversion teams accountable to:
Facilitate and drive resolution on conflicts across multiple projects with respect to requirements and conversion process.
Provide guidance to data readiness resources and external teams for data collection, data cleansing and data validation.
Track data readiness metrics.
Participate in the definition of org-level scope and scope determination criteria.
Defining/managing the entry and exit criteria
Assist the Director with the design, implementation and evolution of a new Functional Data Governance Team (i.e. organization/function) that helps enable Enbridge become more data-driven.
Lead the day-to-day work of the new Team by following a two-path approach, both of which provide value to the business by helping solve data-centric issues and challenges.
Short and medium-term: Drive and coordination of resolution to data issues and continuous improvement. For example, streamlining ESG reporting, closing gaps in the Item Master, etc.
Medium to long-term: Coordinates supports achieving strategic alignment with the area-specific Unify Sustainment teams with the objective to establish Enbridge’s enterprise data management strategy and roadmap, including addressing some of the following needs:
Establish the Enterprise Data Standards our data need to conform to.
Create the Enterprise Data Models showing how our data is connected across processes and teams.
Implement the Enterprise Data Governance showing the decision rights over given data objects.
Ensure the Reference and Master Data Management processes are streamlined to create/change our core data while meeting all necessary checks-and-balances.
Ensure rigorous application of the Enterprise Data Standards, Data Models and Data Governance processes to increase Data Quality and make data trustworthy.
Create a Data Culture at Enbridge helping the company to leverage data as an Asset.
Define and/or further refine business processes and services offered to the business.
Becoming known to the enterprise through organizational change and communications.
Collaborating with TIS to identify and implement enabling IT tools.
Who you are
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Related university degree in Business or Technology and 10 or more years of directly related experience
Experience with data transformation on large enterprise programs.
Willingness to challenge the status quo – push the teams to think beyond “the way things are” to the “art of the possible” and embrace new ways of doing things.
Proven good interpersonal skills, including consultation, influencing, negotiation, facilitation and conflict resolution.
Ability to understand enterprise wide and Business Unit / Functional specific requirements.
Sound experience in the areas of planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record in management, process optimization and relationship management.
Solid project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery / implementation.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead and handle large scale change.
