Job Description

Are you an Engineer who has interest and experience improving processes and programs by means of data transformation and fit for purpose solutions? In this role, you will be accountable for driving strategic and tactical improvements to the FI Piping data, programs, and processes, by  working collaboratively with others in the design and execution to sustainably implement change.

Note: This role is a part-time role permanent position working 20 hours per week.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for leading initiatives, projects and fit for purpose solutions, striving to reduce the potential for leaks and to improve the reliability and efficiency of the FI Programs, by means of data transformation (accessibility, availability, and quality) and streamlining processes.

  • Responsible for understanding the Program’s strategies, defining improvements, collaborating with team members and completing the plan to sustainably implement change. 

  • Development, tracking and trending metrics for assessing the efficiency and sustainability of the programs, to define and implement improvements.

  • Lead Incident response and investigation activities, including field response and root cause analysis for Facilities Integrity.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with APEGA.

  • 7 or more years of progressive experience working with complex data, information management systems, and supporting pipeline/facilities safety, maintenance or  integrity improvements.

  • Knowledge and experience with commonly used information systems like Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, PI AF.

  • Demonstrated high level of organizational and project management skills.

  • Effective communication and relationship building skills.  This includes the ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of management, peers and regulatory agencies.

  • Achieve results through partner engagement to define plans and goals including establishing and managing accountability.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Semi-frequent travel, less than 15% required for planning and overseeing of field maintenance activities (this includes travel to US).  Valid passport required.
