Are you interested in commodities scheduling? As an entry level Scheduler, this position applies a basic understanding of routine elements of pipeline and storage scheduling activities and problem resolution.
What you will do:
Provides technical/commercial support by:
Providing input into the design, adaptation and implementation of the scheduling service program within a 24/7 real-time full notice of shipment schedule and rolling 10-day windows.
Provide detailed analysis of scheduled product movement and manage conflicts in the system with customers, some of which are unique to the Southern System:
Monitor and update the system conditions daily with system inventories, batch positions, activities, maintenance and operating considerations.
Coordinate receipts at various locations along the pipeline.
Simulate volumes through the various tankage locations to ensure appropriate working levels.
Ensure crude quality is maintained by accurate utilization of tankage on the pipeline system.
Coordinate operational and maintenance issues with pipeline operations.
Issue daily pump order for the Control Center to execute.
Work closely with other Enbridge schedulers, Control Centre Operations (CCO) and Shippers to handle system-wide issues.
Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Occasional participation in the Indigenous Employment Program initiatives such as Indigenous community engagement, youth mentorship, career and employment events.
Who you are:
You have the following qualifications and experience:
University degree in an applicable field, e.g., Commerce, Engineering, etc.
Preference may be given to a candidate who identifies as Indigenous (First Nations, Metis, Inuit).
Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency with computer applications.
Related pipeline scheduling or logistics experience would be a benefit.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Indigenous culture and practices is an asset.
