Job Description
Our National IT group is looking for a Real Estate Project Manager to join the Toronto office.
The IT Real Estate Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle. The incumbent is responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing the project plan, schedule, and budget to ensure timely completion of projects. During project execution, the incumbent is also accountable for managing issues and risks, facilitating change requests, maintaining project financials, and providing status reports.
Essential Duties
- Manage projects and initiatives to ensure quality and consistency are delivered. This includes partnering with other IT teams, Real Estate, Line of Business contacts or office location leaders to define project scope, goals, budget, schedule, resources, and deliverables to support business goals, and take appropriate steps to ensure project objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Create and execute project plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while following IT SDLC methodology.
- Provide an advance level of technical expertise and onsite hands-on during Real Estate lease projects (e.g., office closings, buildouts and office moves).
- Ensure project documents are complete, up-to-date, and stored appropriately.
- Communicate project status and updates.
- Properly staff, train, and mentor Real Estate project team members at all levels.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- General knowledge of business and IT systems
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with MS Project, or related tool
- Broad technical infrastructure knowledge of hardware and applications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO JOB
- Applies technical/procedural requirements of the position based on knowledge and experience within specialization
- Ability to attract, lead, motivate, and retain a team
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks

- French as a secondary language (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 years relevant experience.
- Experience managing multiple projects of low to moderate risk
